Synchronize User Segments

Overview

In this destination service, DinMo will manage audience membership in Voyado through Labels and selected Consent Status fields.

Use this destination service when you want to keep audience membership from DinMo visible and actionable inside Voyado.

Typical use cases include:

• syncing a DinMo audience to a Voyado label

• exposing strategic CRM audiences inside Voyado for targeting or reporting

• managing selected email or SMS consent-related states based on audience membership

To do so, you will need to go through these three steps:

1. Create a Voyado Engage Platform Connection. Refer to the corresponding section for more info.

2. Create a user segment or audience composed of the contacts you want to synchronize.

3. Activate the segment to the Voyado destination to start sending data.

Each time the activation runs:

• contacts currently in the DinMo audience are added to the configured target in Voyado

• contacts that no longer belong to the audience are removed from the configured target or updated accordingly

This destination service is therefore designed to keep Voyado continuously aligned with DinMo audience membership.

Before you start

Before configuring this destination service, make sure:

• the target contacts already exist in Voyado

• the consent target you want to update already exists or has been configured in Voyado

• you have validated internally whether DinMo should be the source of truth for this audience or consent-related state

Destination setup

Supported target types

DinMo supports two target types in this destination service.

Labels

Labels are the recommended option for most audience synchronization use cases.

Use labels when you want DinMo to keep a static or semi-static audience visible inside Voyado, for example:

• VIP customers

• churn risk audience

• loyalty segment

• campaign eligibility audience

DinMo will add contacts entering the audience to the selected label and remove contacts leaving the audience.

Create your destination in DinMo

To start sending custom triggers, first create a Voyado destination with the Fire custom triggers destination service.

• Go To Destinations

• Choose your Voyado Engage Platform

• On the next page choose the Destination Option: Synchronise User Segments

• In the destination settings, select whether the audience should be synchronized to:

  • a Label, or

  • a supported Consent Status target

• Give it a name

• Save

Your destination is now ready and you can start syncing DinMo segments with Voyado.

For consent-related targets, make sure the target state and the underlying business ownership are clearly defined before go-live.

Activation configuration

Once the destination has been set up, and your DinMo segment created, you can create an activation to start sending data to Voyado right away.

Consent status

This destination service can also be used to manage selected consent-related states such as email or SMS contactability, depending on your Voyado setup.

Use this option only when audience membership in DinMo is intended to directly control a consent-related state in Voyado and when the governance around that state is clearly defined.

Run behavior

This destination service behaves like a continuous audience synchronization flow.

Each sync run compares the current state of the DinMo audience with the previous successful run and applies the corresponding additions and removals in Voyado.

Fields mapping

In the Fields mapping section, you are asked to specify the field contained in your DinMo segment corresponding to the identifier used to match records with Voyado contacts.

Depending on your setup, this is typically:

• Email

• contactId if it is already available in your warehouse

At least one identifier must be mapped.

If contactId is available in your data warehouse, this is generally the recommended identifier.

Important notes

Labels are the recommended audience sync pattern

For most use cases where you want to expose DinMo audiences inside Voyado, labels are the recommended option. They provide a clear and simple way to keep audience membership visible in the Voyado UI.

Consent sync should be used with clear governance

Consent-related states should only be synchronized from DinMo when it is clear that DinMo is allowed to control this part of the customer communication logic.

Contacts must already exist in Voyado

This destination service does not create contacts. It only updates labels or consent-related states for contacts already present in Voyado.

One activation should correspond to one audience meaning

For clarity and maintainability, we recommend creating one activation per business audience or consent use case rather than combining multiple meanings into one sync.

Recommended use cases

Use Sync audiences as labels when you want DinMo to keep a business audience or CRM target group continuously synchronized inside Voyado.

Typical examples include:

• high-value audience sync

• churn-risk audience sync

• product-eligibility audience sync

• campaign suppression or targeting audience sync

• selected consent-related state management

When not to use this destination service

Do not use this service when your main goal is to:

• enrich Voyado contacts with profile attributes

• create or update contact-level custom fields

• send event-style data attached to a contact
