Glossary

Active

The Journey is live and can run. Entry rules and exit rules are locked while in this state. To change them, pause the Journey first.

Allow Journey Repeat

Setting on the Start step that lets a contact re-enter the Journey after they have already completed or exited it. Use only when re-entry is a deliberate part of the lifecycle design.

Condition met path

The outgoing path from a Pause Until step that is taken when the configured condition becomes true before the timeout. See also: timeout path.

Draft

The editable working state of a Journey. The Journey does not run while in Draft. All steps, entry rules, and exit rules can be freely edited.

Entry rule

Condition configured on the Start step that determines whether a contact can enter the Journey. Two types are available: Audience entry and Event occurrence. Up to 10 entry rules per Journey.

Exit rule

Condition that removes a contact from the Journey early, regardless of which step they are currently at. Exit rules apply to the whole Journey, not to a single step. Up to 10 exit rules per Journey.

Other branch

The implicit branch created by a Segment step for contacts that do not match any configured group. It does not need to be named, but it must be connected to a downstream step or Stop.

Pause

Journey state in which progression is temporarily stopped. Contacts already mid-Journey remain at their current step. Use Pause to review an issue or prepare a change before re-publishing.

Pause Until

Step that blocks a contact until a configured condition is met or a maximum duration (timeout) is reached. Always creates two outgoing paths: condition met and timeout.

Run history

Operational record of Journey executions. Shows status (success or failure), timestamp, and run type (scheduled or manual) for each execution.

Segment

Step that branches contacts into multiple paths based on a profile field value. Each configured group creates one branch. Contacts that do not match any group take the implicit other branch.

Activate

Step that activates one or more destinations. When a contact reaches Activate, DinMo syncs them to the configured destination platforms.

Stop

Terminal step that explicitly ends a branch of the Journey. Has no outgoing edges. Use Stop to make intended branch endings visible and unambiguous in the canvas.

Timeout

The maximum duration configured on a Pause Until step. When this duration elapses without the condition being met, the contact moves forward through the timeout path.

Timeout path

The outgoing path from a Pause Until step that is taken when the maximum duration elapses without the condition becoming true. See also: condition met path.

Wait

Step that delays progression for a fixed duration or until a specific weekday and time. Two modes: Duration (choose an amount and unit) and Until day (choose a weekday and time).
